Wolcen Studios Share New Project Pantheon Roadmap

Wolcen Studio’s upcoming “ExtrAction RPG,” Project Pantheon, is gearing up for its second closed alpha test, and the developers are sharing their plans and priorities for what’s next.
The game’s debut alpha came with its initial announcement, and after wrapping up those early tests, the team expressed gratitude to players for their feedback, data, and ideas that helped shape the next steps. They’re promising that Closed Alpha 2 will be a step up, with more content and polish.
One big addition is an expanded player hub called The Sanctuary, now a fully 3D environment. This is your go-to spot for tweaking your gear, checking your achievements, and crafting runes. As you play and gather resources, you’ll also unlock ways to upgrade and personalize The Sanctuary—though the specifics of how are still under wraps.
Alpha 2 will also introduce a new enemy faction, the Hamförir, a monstrous group that’ll spice up combat with more frequent encounters and tricky strategic challenges. For players who lean toward magic, there’s a new weapon—the Staff—joining the arsenal. Gear customization is getting a boost too, letting you tailor your combat style by choosing which abilities to slot into your weapons and armor. The team’s also working on balance tweaks and combat improvements to keep things smooth and engaging.
And where will you test out that new weapon and gear? New dungeons are on the way, giving you fresh playgrounds to explore. Movement’s getting some love as well, with a default Dodge Roll ability added and smoother animations to cut down on choppiness. Closed Alpha 2 is slated for this spring, with a third test in the summer bringing the story into focus, followed by a fourth in the fall that’ll hone in on balance and progression.
