Titan Quest II’s Spirit Mastery and Crafting Update Is Now Live

Published on: 8/8/2026
Titan Quest II has received another major Early Access update, and this one could have a significant impact on how players approach character building and loot.
The newly released Spirit Mastery and Crafting Update introduces the game’s sixth mastery alongside a full crafting system, giving players both another archetype to build around and considerably more control over the equipment they find.
Spirit Mastery Opens the Door to New Summoner Builds
Spirit Mastery draws its power from the realm of the dead, offering 10 active skills and 26 passive abilities centered around summons, life-draining magic, and manipulating enemies.
Players can lean heavily into a traditional summoner playstyle or remain active in combat while their minions fight alongside them. Spirit can also be combined with Titan Quest II’s five existing masteries, dramatically increasing the number of hybrid builds players can experiment with.
Among the summons highlighted with the update are the powerful Athanekros and smaller Eidolon Guards. Like much of Titan Quest II’s skill system, these summons can be modified further. Players can add abilities such as area-of-effect attacks, increase damage at the cost of a summon’s health, or alter mechanics surrounding their survivability.
Crafting Gives Players More Control Over Loot
The other major addition is Titan Quest II’s new crafting system.
Rather than relying entirely on random drops to produce the perfect piece of equipment, players can now salvage unwanted items for crafting materials and use those resources to modify gear they want to keep.
Affixes can be added, replaced, or rerolled within certain restrictions. For example, only one affix on an item can be rerolled, preventing players from simply rebuilding an entire item from scratch. Epic equipment works differently and can be upgraded once before players will eventually need to hunt down a stronger version.
The result should make finding loot feel more flexible without removing the incentive to continue hunting for better drops.
Titan Quest II Continues to Expand
Spirit Mastery has been teased throughout Titan Quest II’s 2026 roadmap, particularly following the introduction of summons to the existing masteries earlier this year. Its arrival completes another major piece of the game’s expanding character-building system.
Combined with crafting, Update 0.7.0 gives players plenty of reasons to revisit existing characters—or start experimenting with an entirely new Spirit-powered build.
The Spirit Mastery and Crafting Update is available now for Titan Quest II in Early Access.
