The Verdict Is In: Titan Quest II Devs Reveal Early Access Feedback and 2026 Roadmap Plans

Grimlore Games has broken its silence on the state of Titan Quest II, releasing a comprehensive update titled "Insights into the Early Access Feedback." Since entering Early Access in August 2025, the highly anticipated sequel has been put through its paces by a dedicated community. Now, the developers have shared what they’ve learned—and what players can expect throughout 2026.

A Resounding Success

According to the latest data shared by the developers, the initial reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Internal surveys indicate that 96% of players rated their overall experience as "positive" or "very positive."

The studio also shared some fun metrics regarding player choices:

  • Most Popular Class: The Warfare mastery takes the top spot for melee enthusiasts, with the Storm mastery following close behind.

  • Favorite Boss: The terrifying Skylla has been crowned the community's favorite boss encounter so far.

  • Top Quest: The charmingly named side quest "A Turtle's Lunch" is the current fan favorite.

Listening to the Community: Key Improvements

Despite the high praise, Grimlore Games acknowledged that "even good games can get better." Based on thousands of player reports, the studio has identified three critical areas that will be the focus of updates in 2026:

  1. Expanding Enemy Variety One of the most common criticisms was a lack of diversity in the monsters players face. The developers are addressing this immediately with the upcoming Centaur Update, which introduces the Arkadian Plains and a host of new foes. Furthermore, the team plans to retroactively add new enemy types to existing areas to keep early zones feeling fresh.

  2. Making Loot "Exciting" Players noted that finding new items didn't always feel impactful. The team has received this message "loud and clear" and is reworking loot drops to ensure they feel more rewarding. The goal is to bring back the thrill of seeing a rare item hit the ground.

  3. Better Balancing To encourage diverse builds, the team is performing a balance pass on abilities. The aim is to buff underused skills, ensuring that players don't feel forced into a specific "meta" and can experiment with different Mastery combinations freely.

What’s Next?

The developers teased that a full Development Roadmap for Titan Quest II will be released soon, outlining the content cadence for the rest of the year. For now, players can look forward to the Centaur Update as the first step in this new phase of Early Access.
