Steampunk ARPG Crystalfall Sets Sights on March 20 for Steam Early Access

Following a successful demo period during the recent Steam Next Fest, developer CRG Studios has officially announced that their free-to-play steampunk Action RPG, Crystalfall, will enter Steam Early Access on March 20, 2026.
If the demo left you wanting to explore more of its gear-grinding, steam-powered world, the wait is almost over. The Early Access launch promises a massive expansion of content over the Next Fest build, alongside community milestone rewards for early adopters.
Expanding the World
While the Steam Next Fest demo gave players a taste of the action by letting them play through the game's first act, the Early Access release is blowing the doors wide open.
When the game launches on March 20, players will have access to:
Five Full Acts: A massive increase in story and campaign content.
Endgame Systems: The initial stages of the game's repeatable endgame loop will be available to test builds and farm loot.
Economy and Competition: In-game trading systems and competitive leaderboards will be live on day one.
Global Support: The Early Access build will feature localization in eleven different languages.
Quality Over Rushed Features
CRG Studios noted that they have been closely monitoring player feedback from the demo and are prioritizing core game mechanics for the Early Access launch.
Because of this dedication to quality, the developers confirmed that highly requested features like WASD movement and controller support will not be available at the start of Early Access. The team stated they want to ensure these control schemes are properly developed and polished before implementing them, rather than rushing a subpar version into the game.
Pre-Registration and Wishlist Rewards
To build momentum ahead of the launch, CRG Studios is running a pre-registration campaign via the game's official website.
The community has already rallied to hit the 100,000 wishlist milestone on Steam, which guarantees that all pre-registered players will receive three exclusive "LAVA" themed cosmetic rewards. The studio has also set a stretch goal: if the game reaches 150,000 wishlists before launch, a fourth "LAVA" item will be unlocked to complete the set.
With its unique steampunk aesthetic and a robust offering of content right out of the gate, Crystalfall is shaping up to be a notable new contender in the free-to-play ARPG space.
