Starcraft 2 Lead Makes New RTS Battle Aces

The next beta kicks off on April 16, and Uncapped Games has unveiled two of the four new units joining the lineup. First up is the Shade, a nimble flying unit designed to shred clusters of ground troops. With high splash damage and pack-hunting mobility, it’s a perfect pick to counter swarm tactics or ground-heavy armies. Next is the Advanced Mortar, a ground unit with echoes of Terran Siege Tanks but even greater flexibility. Though it takes a moment to deploy, its long-range twin cannons can hammer both air and ground targets, making it a formidable defensive anchor if positioned wisely.
This beta also brings quality-of-life upgrades: an improved intelligence bar, detailed unit stats, and clear strength/weakness breakdowns to help players master counters. The visuals have been refined, and a revamped battle pass is included. Completing the Proving Grounds unlocks all units, though returning beta testers get instant access. Sign-ups are open via the official website or Steam.
