Published on: 5/5/2025
Wolcen Studio has unveiled fresh closed alpha statistics for its upcoming extraction RPG, Project Pantheon, alongside an FAQ detailing testing, monetization, and more.
The latest closed Alpha 2 saw over 1,000 active players engaging in more than 1,500 sessions. Across these matches, players completed 2,063 successful extractions while encountering 782 failed ones, with an average match lasting 15 minutes. The total combat time reached 20 hours, during which 143,000 mobs were slain, and over 500 players joined the fray.
While the studio has only shared a handful of these stats, they paint a picture of the gameplay experience, suggesting that successful extractions occurred at a rate of approximately 2.5 times the failed attempts.
Looking ahead, the team reminded players that closed Alpha 3 is on the horizon, presenting another chance for testers to jump in and shape the game’s development.
In their FAQ, posted on Discord, Wolcen reiterated that Project Pantheon will follow a free-to-play model, initially launching on PC before making its way to Xbox and PlayStation, with cross-play functionality. The official game title is set to be unveiled “soon.”
Additionally, they underscored their commitment to a "community-driven development" philosophy, stating, “It means building this game with you, not just for you.” By prioritizing transparency and early playtesting, they aim to ensure that the community’s input influences the game from the very beginning.
