Path Of Exile 2 Unveils New Huntress Class

Published on: 3/27/2025
Grinding Gear Games held a livestream today to unveil what’s coming to Path of Exile 2 with the Dawn of the Hunt update. The headline reveal is the new class, the Huntress, who wields a spear and buckler for a versatile mix of close-quarters and ranged fighting. She comes with two ascendancy paths: the Ritualist, who sacrifices blood to wield corrupted lifeforce against foes, and the Amazon, who relies on precision and elemental power to dominate in battle.
Beyond the Huntress’s options, the update adds new ascendancy classes for three existing characters: the Witch gets the Lich, tearing apart their own soul to command undeath and chaos; the Warrior becomes the Smith of Kitava, crafting devastating weapons through fire and pain; and the Mercenary turns into the Tactician, a former Blackguard Elite bringing military precision to the fight.
As expected, the update packs in new skills and support gems. The Huntress gets 20 fresh spear skills, plus two standout abilities: “Raise Spectre,” which lets players capture and summon the souls of nearly any monster in the game (with a few exceptions), and “Summon Rhoa Mount,” calling forth a Rhoa to either fight by your side or serve as a mount for combat—just watch out for the knockback damage.
Dawn of the Hunt also brings eight new maps, four new strongboxes, and extra story content to flesh out the action RPG experience.
The update drops on April 4th, promising some hefty endgame upgrades to sink your teeth into.
