Path of Exile 2 Social Media Puzzle Might Point To A New Class
Published on: 8/11/2025
Path of Exile 2 Season 3 is sneaking up fast, and with so many standout ARPGs like Diablo 4, The Slormancer, Hell Clock, and the newly launched Titan Quest 2 keeping me busy, Grinding Gear Games has reignited excitement with a cryptic teaser for the next PoE 2 update. A mysterious image dropped on social media, clearly marked with the PoE 2 logo to distinguish it from the ongoing PoE 1 league, has sparked wild speculation. The image, described as a message from a buried library in Oriath’s ruins, hints at an unknown language and a time-sensitive mystery, possibly tied to the upcoming season launching Friday, August 29. Many believe it’s a clue about the long-awaited fourth act of the PoE 2 campaign.
PoE 2’s first three acts are phenomenal, setting a high bar for ARPGs, but the current loop of replaying them at higher difficulty to reach the endgame can feel like a drag. Fans are eager for acts four through six, and this teaser suggests act four might be near. Popular loot filter creator Neversink is “95% sure” it’s an act four reveal, pointing to symbols resembling Kalguur runes and referencing the Kalguur’s immortal “King” figure. The PoE 2 art book hints that act four will unfold in the Karui Archipelago and Kingsmarch, with a “well of souls” potentially linked to the teaser’s mention of a well. Curiously, the book also places act five in Oriath, aligning with the image’s origin.
The PoE Reddit community is buzzing, with some spotting symbols that might spell “Druid,” fueling speculation that the highly anticipated Druid class could debut in Season 3. Game director Jonathan Rogers previously noted the Druid’s absence as a major gap, promising its release as soon as possible. Season 3 and update 0.3.0 drop on August 29.
