New Enshrouded Update, Pact of the Flame, Pushes the Game Closer to 1.0

Developer Keen Games has just released Enshrouded's fifth major update, titled Pact of the Flame. This update brings a plethora of new content and improved communication features for players. Additionally, we've received a first look at the game's 2025 roadmap and an update on the anticipated full 1.0 launch.

Pact of the Flame, out today, focuses on enhancing player communication. It introduces in-game text chat for multiplayer sessions and an emote wheel to express your feelings without words. Keen Games has also added voice chat, allowing players to communicate directly. You can choose from global, server-wide, or proximity voice chat, and utilize a brand-new social menu.

Alongside these features, the update includes a first-person camera mode while building, allowing for greater control and immersion. Enshrouded also boasts over 70 new items, including props, cosmetics, and materials. New quests for vanity items, such as the Serpent Warrior set, are also available just in time for the lunar year.

The Enshrouded 2025 early access roadmap details exciting new features. The second year in early access will introduce an all-new event system, allowing players to jump through portals to new thematic and exciting worlds. There will also be base raids on separate islands, additional weather events, and a new biome focused on dynamic weather. In late 2025, players will gain the ability to teleport to other servers and share their worlds and builds with the community. With so much coming this year, fans of Enshrouded will be in for an epic 1.0 launch.
