Lost Ark's "Welcome to Paradise" Update Offers Tons for Solo Players

The patch notes for Lost Ark’s upcoming “Welcome to Paradise” update have been unveiled, with a ton of new solo modes and changes at the forefront.

Paradise is the new star solo content feature previously discussed by the developers. It's a series of three game modes that will cycle through weekly, allowing players to quickly progress their characters with rotating content. Players can sign characters up a limited number of times per week and earn re-entries throughout the gameplay; plus, Paradise includes additional system aspects that can be used to earn power-ups in Paradise and track progress.

The first mode, Elysian, is described as a “a short monster wave defense style activity.” In Crucible, players get 60 seconds to take on a boss, with ten levels—three at the launch of the game, and additional levels (and more powerful bosses) as time goes on. Finally, in Hell, players descend until they hit a limit determined by a key’s grade and rank. For all three modes, rewards will scale based on progress and difficulty.

Also coming for Lost Ark's solo players is the Aegir Solo Mode, which will let players take on the raid at a solo-able difficulty. Some other solo modes for raids will get balance adjustments, too, with mostly nerfs making them more approachable.

The massive patch for Lost Ark includes a ton of balance changes, as well as UX/UI and quality of life updates, plus some new hairstyles, Rapports, and general adjustments. The game goes down tonight at midnight PDT for about ten hours for this patch.
