Lost Ark's "Rise of the Valkyrie" Targets Free To Play Players

Lost Ark’s “Rise of the Valkyrie” update introduces a wave of new content and balance tweaks to the free-to-play MMORPG’s world of Arkesia.

Players will receive a new South Kurzan Powerpass to boost their roster or experiment with different classes, stackable with any unused passes. The update debuts the Valkyrie class and includes a “road/path” event with rewards tailored for item levels 1640 to 1680, offering Honing Materials, progression items, and four bound Tier 4 Level 7 Gems. Challenge missions will pit players against bosses Aegir and Brelshaza.

The Ebony Cube system gets a major revamp: rewards are doubled, but cube ticket drop rates are halved across all sources. To offset this, two existing tickets can be converted into one ticket with twice the rewards. Players can also trade Ebony Cube Tickets for Hell Keys weekly via the Paradise Exchange Vendor, with costs varying by tier and key rarity.

For Tier 3 players, Hyper Awakening and Hyper Awakening Skills (T-Skills) are introduced to keep them competitive in Crucible rankings while aiding new or returning players. The update also brings balance adjustments for support classes, new skins, and additional improvements alongside the Valkyrie class.

Detailed patch notes will drop ahead of the update’s launch next week.
