Lost Ark Details What Players Need to Know Ahead of Region Merge

Published on: 10/15/2025

The Lost Ark development team has released new policies and guidance in advance of a major region merge scheduled for October 22. The merge will consolidate NA West into NA East, but rather than combining servers, the change will simply shift the player population — meaning server names and rosters will remain intact.

Key points from the announcement:

  • Server and roster stability: No server names change, and rosters move over unchanged.

  • Naming conflicts: If a character name exists in both regions, the version with the highest max character level will retain the name. Ties are broken by earliest creation date.

  • Guild names: For duplicate guild names, priority goes to the earliest-created guild. In ties, the NA East version keeps the name over the NA West version.

  • Marketplace & auctions: All active marketplace offers, ongoing trades, and auction house listings will be canceled before the merge.

  • Progression & meta systems: Most progression, tickets, tokens, and event data will carry over with rosters. However, some systems — such as competitive ranks, leaderboards, the Book of Coordination, strongholds, and Proving Grounds — have specific rules defined in the new policy.

Despite the region merge, the announcement promises a relatively smooth transition, thanks in part to the decision not to merge server infrastructure.
