Last Epoch Season 5 Reveals Every New Unique Coming October 1

Last Epoch Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn launches October 1, and Eleventh Hour Games has now revealed every new Unique item arriving with the update.

The new lineup includes weapons, armor, idols, relics, and several items specifically designed around Season 5’s new skills and Rage of Morditas mechanic. More importantly, the update introduces three exceptionally rare chase Uniques that Eleventh Hour Games says will be even harder to find than a Red Ring.

Morditas Brings Some Serious Endgame Loot

Several new items are tied directly to Season 5’s Frostborn theme.

Morditas’ Vengeance is a new spear exclusive to the pinnacle God of Bloodshed encounter. Its defining mechanic prevents health leech from ending when players reach full health, allowing stored leech to immediately begin healing again once damage is taken.

Frostborn Solitude takes a different approach, changing its effects depending on how many Heretical Idols the player has equipped.

Unsated Rage may be even more interesting for buildcrafters. When the ring drops, it permanently rolls one of 27 Rage buffs normally encountered temporarily during Rage of Morditas. Possible effects include 200% additional Bleed chance, increased area of effect, blood rune explosions triggered by Evade, and icy damage zones created beneath defeated bosses and rare enemies.

New Uniques Open Up More Build Options

Several of the new items directly modify skills.

Heorot’s Repose allows Avalanche to gain spell damage based on added melee damage, while melee hits can cause Avalanche boulders to strike nearby enemies.

Perilous Reflection causes Marrow Shards to return to the player after being fired, potentially striking enemies a second time at the cost of additional maximum health.

Unbroken Legion takes Skeleton builds in a much more extreme direction by doubling the maximum number of Skeletons a player can control. Newly summoned Skeletons also receive Frenzy and Haste, although equipping the helmet prevents players from summoning other specializable non-Skeleton minions.

Primalist also receives several interesting options. Fused Elements randomly converts Gathering Storm between lightning, physical, and cold damage, while Wrangler’s Keepsake grants both the player and their companions Aspect of the Grole while improving several other Aspect effects.

Scorched Earth converts the new Summon Tide Elemental skill to fire damage and grants additional fire penetration to minions.

Radiant Lance Already Has Its First Unique

Season 5’s new Paladin skill is also receiving dedicated support immediately.

Effusive Oath converts Radiant Lance to physical damage. The helmet causes bosses and rare enemies to deal more damage to the player, but part of that damage is instead spread across four seconds.

That opens the possibility of building around the delayed damage mechanic while simultaneously transforming how Radiant Lance functions.

Vestige of Imprisonment offers another unusual defensive mechanic. All hit damage bypasses Ward while equipped, but the chestpiece provides significant Ward generation based on uncapped cold resistance.

Three Ultra-Rare Chase Uniques Enter Last Epoch

Perhaps the biggest itemization reveal is the arrival of three extraordinarily rare Uniques.

Gift of the Eidolon grants both Haste and Frenzy at the same time. Players also take reduced damage over time while Haste is active and gain increased area of effect while under Frenzy.

Eternal Font automatically uses a potion every second — even when the player has no potions available. Because this also triggers effects activated by potion use, the item could become the centerpiece of some unusual automated builds.

Then there is Death Dance.

Death Dance completely removes Evade’s cooldown and automatically activates the leftmost available specialized skill whenever the player Evades. That interaction can potentially trigger a huge variety of abilities across the game, creating one of the more unusual buildcrafting tools introduced in Season 5.

Set Items Aren’t Being Forgotten

Season 5 is also adding a new two-piece Primalist Set centered around Entangling Roots.

Caretaker’s Regrowth allows Entangling Roots to cast automatically while the player moves. The skill itself is also being buffed, with its damage-over-time effect becoming stackable.

Combined with the new Uniques, Rage of Morditas rewards, and skill-specific items, Season 5 appears focused heavily on giving players new mechanics to build around rather than simply introducing equipment with larger numbers.

Last Epoch Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn launches October 1, bringing these new items alongside Rage of Morditas, three new mastery skills, faction overhauls, and additional endgame changes.
