Last Epoch Season 5 Overhauls Merchant’s Guild and Circle of Fortune

Last Epoch Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn launches October 1, and Eleventh Hour Games is using the new season to make some major changes to both of the game’s Item Factions.
Merchant’s Guild players are getting an improved Bazaar experience, while Circle of Fortune is receiving what amounts to a significant redesign of its Prophecy system.
Merchant’s Guild Gets a Much-Needed Bazaar Upgrade
Season 5 combines item searching and listing into a single Bazaar interface. Selecting an item to sell will automatically apply filters for similar items, while additional filtering improvements should make hunting for specific Exalted items considerably easier.
Affix searches now include more detailed categories such as prefixes, suffixes, sealed, and non-sealed affixes, alongside new filtering options for Tier 6 and Tier 7 modifiers.
Pricing is also getting considerably easier.
When listing an item, Last Epoch will now suggest a price based on previous sales of items with similar characteristics, including Legendary Potential and Exalted affixes. Players remain free to ignore that recommendation and set their own price.
An Automatic Price Lowering system is also being introduced, allowing sellers to gradually reduce an item's price hourly, daily, or weekly until it reaches a predetermined minimum.
Players will additionally be able to search and purchase items from different Bazaar stalls directly through the interface instead of physically traveling between each merchant.
Perhaps the biggest Merchant’s Guild change, however, is the removal of rank restrictions on purchasing items. Progressing through the faction will instead unlock item bags containing crafting materials such as keys, shards, glyphs, and runes.
Circle of Fortune Prophecies Are Being Rebuilt
Circle of Fortune is receiving an even larger overhaul.
Prophecy rerolling is being removed entirely. Instead, players choose the specific reward they want and allow that Prophecy to automatically charge as they earn Favor.
Four Prophecy slots become available as players progress through the faction, allowing up to four different rewards to charge simultaneously. Completing the corresponding objective consumes stored charges and delivers the selected reward, with multiple accumulated charges potentially producing several rewards at once.
Lenses are also becoming permanent stash-wide unlocks and can modify everything from charge rates to affixes and Legendary Potential.
New Prophecy rewards include Rune of Havoc, Rune of Redemption, Experimental items, Harbinger bases, and Champion items. Additional Lenses can improve prefix or suffix tiers, increase reward frequency, or even manipulate Unique weighting so rarer Uniques become more likely to appear.
Season 5 Makes Both Factions More Targeted
The overall direction appears clear: Eleventh Hour Games wants both Item Factions to involve less friction and more control.
Merchant’s Guild players should spend less time navigating menus, researching prices, and maintaining listings, while Circle of Fortune players gain substantially more control over what they farm.
Both faction reworks arrive alongside Last Epoch Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn on October 1.
