Data analysis might sound dry to some, but every now and then, it uncovers some pretty cool insights. In a recent post on the official Path of Exile website—something the team hopes to turn into a regular feature—Lilylicious dives into some entertaining stats from the game.

The numbers they shared cover just one week, from the 18th to the 25th. Why such a short window? Well, when your game’s thriving, the data piles up fast. That single week alone generated about 1.5TB of log files. To manage that mountain of info, the team’s already rolled out tools to shrink it down to around 115GB, keeping it compact but still usable for digging into trends.

So, what’s the scoop? The top three Ascendancy Classes players picked last week were the Invoker, Stormweaver, and Infernalist, with Invoker and Stormweaver neck-and-neck for the lead. On the loot front, nearly 900 billion gold dropped—breaking down to roughly 1.5 million gold per second, if you’re chasing riches.

And deaths? Oh, there’ve been plenty. Players met their demise a staggering 14.5 million times in that week alone.
