Funcom has unveiled more details about Dune: Awakening’s upcoming beta test, set to run from May 9th to 12th. This large-scale test will feature the first 20 hours of gameplay and Act 1 of the story, offering players a substantial preview of the game.

While the beta lasts only three days, it covers a broad range of content, including early to mid-game mechanics, crafting, combat, and story progression. Players will get hands-on experience with the CHOAM building set, allowing them to explore construction and crafting elements. Several regions will be accessible, including Hagga Basin South and Eastern and Western Vermilius Gap.

One exciting feature is the ability to assemble your first sandbike, making traversal across the desert planet much faster and more dynamic.

Looking ahead to the June 10th launch, Funcom has teased additional content, including nine more regions, the Overland map, and key hubs like Arrakeen and Harko villages. Advanced crafting options, such as ornithopters and buggies, will further enhance exploration.

For those eager to participate, beta access can be requested via Steam.
