Diablo Immortal Crossover Event Is Kicking Off Despite New Accusations

Fresh details have emerged about Heroes of the Hearth, an upcoming Diablo Immortal event that blends Hearthstone elements into the game. Kicking off on July 30th, this crossover introduces card-based mechanics inspired by Hearthstone, revamping modes like Fractured Plane (now Enchanted Planes) and Trial of the Hordes (now Trial of the Hearth). The event features 18 unique cards—two for each class—granting special abilities for these modes. Notable cards include Lightning Storm for Shaman, Ancient of Lore for Druid, Bash for Warrior, and Polymorph for Mage, with full details available in the official update blog.

The event also brings new Familiar skins, Core Rager and Lil’ Ragnaros, alongside a new Legendary Gem called Manaflux. This gem’s effect varies based on your mana usage and whether your health is above or below 50%. Players can snag a free two-star Manaflux gem through event login rewards, along with perks like the Azure Serpent Portal cosmetic, Amethyst Longhorn Avatar Frame, and Legendary crests. Participating in the event also unlocks a themed card back in Hearthstone.

The update will roll out globally by Wednesday, letting players dive into the collaboration. However, the event has sparked some controversy. Allegations have surfaced, shared by Reddit user Ipyreable and reported by PC Gamer, claiming the event’s promotional art uses AI-generated imagery. Critics point to issues like accessories blending into skin, warped cards, and floating food without plates as evidence. Ipyreable remarked, “Guess $158 pets aren’t enough to pay an artist for their collab art.”
