Diablo 4 - Season 15 Delayed, Hopefully not for too Long

Published on: 9/15/2026
The launch of Diablo 4 Season 15 (Season of Hell's Legacy) has hit a major wall, with Blizzard officially delaying the season launch due to game-breaking issues centered around the new Character Rebirth feature.
What Happened & Why it Broke
The newly implemented Rebirth feature—meant to allow players to reset an existing hero into a fresh seasonal character—caused severe backend economy and progression exploits:
Paragon & Gold Inflation: Players using the Rebirth tool reported logging into the new season with 145 to 250+ Paragon points already unlocked, alongside millions in usable Gold and materials carried over from the Eternal Realm.
Realm Isolation Failure: Solo Self-Found (SSF) constraints failed to convert properly during the Rebirth process.
Server Instability & Error Codes: As the server attempted to handle cross-realm data transfers, players were hit with massive login queues and error codes (including
3000008and3000006).
Current Status & ETA
Blizzard pulled the plug shortly after the patch went live and placed the season on an indefinite hold.
No Official ETA: Blizzard confirmed they are actively investigating the issue, but there is currently no estimated time for when servers will be back online or fixed.
Expected Season Reset / Rollback: Because some players logged in early and gained heavily bugged progress, community leads have indicated a high probability of a full season launch reset/rollback once the fix is deployed. Any progress made during the short window of availability today will almost certainly be wiped before servers re-open.
