Creators of Wolcen ARPG Announce "Project Pantheon" - a mix of PVPVE

No, "Project Pantheon" will not be the final name of the new title from Wolcen Studio. Thankfully. MMO followers searching for another game called "Pantheon" would get confusing. The next creation from the team behind ARPG Wolcen will get a new name. The team says it's already being teased in a few hidden references within the released materials. The game's official site is "Play GDR," which might be one hint.

Check out their new video.

While Wolcen follows the typical ARPG style of Diablo or Path of Exile, Project Pantheon will be a F2P PvPvE extraction game. The team calls it an "ExtrAction RPG." In Project Pantheon, you'll assist Death to restore the natural order in a dark fantasy world dominated by fantasy versions of historical myths. The initial gameplay descriptions are very extraction-based. Hit the map, explore, and take out enemies and other players, then extract with your loot to upgrade your base and loadouts. Be careful not to die, as you could lose everything. Project Pantheon will also feature a player economy, allowing you to sell or trade items with other players.

The title has been in production for over a year and is currently in "alpha." According to their FAQ, this means they are working on achieving "feature completeness." Alpha tests are scheduled in Europe and North America on January 25th and February 1st, respectively.

You can register for tests and get news on the official site to see what will be in the alpha tests. Hopefully, it gets more testing than Wolcen did when it first launched.
