After Players Express Their Frustrations GGG Introduces Changes To Loot

Grinding Gear Games has revealed exciting updates for Path of Exile 2, focusing on improving loot drops and making the game more accessible and player-friendly. This information was shared in an official blog post on the Path of Exile website, detailing upcoming changes.

Future updates will bring three key improvements to loot drops: reducing “unlucky streaks” from boss fights, enhancing the quality of boss drops, and increasing loot rewards from monsters possessed by Azmerian Wisps. These changes are aimed at creating a more rewarding and balanced gameplay experience for the player base.

Additionally, modifications to Corrupted Nexuses will make the content more streamlined, with fewer completions required to unlock all Atlas Passive Points. Visibility on the Atlas Map will also be improved. Simulacrums will see a reduction in difficulty, making Pinnacle content more approachable for a wider range of players.

Grinding Gear Games has be hit with tough criticisms from their players since the launch of Dawn of the Hunt update, released on April 4, 2025 which introduced a brand-new class: the Huntress and a fresh round of nerfs and game changes. Unfortunately, this pushed players to voice their dissatisfaction of the current state of the game, driving the game's review score down heavily into the "Mostly Negative" on their steam page. Hopefully, these changes will correct the course and get players having fun again.
