Reaper Soulrend Morgoneth Endgame Build Guide

About
Rekt's Soulrend Morgoneth Reaper (Nightblade + Necromancer) is a high-mobility, cold-based melee build designed for Grim Dawn Patch 1.2. Utilizing the iconic two-handed Soulrend scythe, the full Morgoneth armor set, and the Alkamos ring set, this build focuses on massive burst damage and life leech via Cold conversion. Built with Hardcore viability in mind, it sacrifices standard "face-tanking" in favor of a dynamic, hit-and-run playstyle that relies on high damage absorption, dodge mechanics, and rapid cooldown reset loops to clear Shattered Realm 80+ and defeat endgame Super Bosses like Ravager and Mogdrogen.
Rotation & Playstyle
Buffs / Auras (Permanent): Ensure Veil of Shadow, Spectral Binding, and Harbinger of Souls are toggled on. Summon Blade Spirits to passively trigger devotion procs like Hand of Ultos.
Core Combat Loop:
Engage: Use Shadow Strike to gap-close instantly onto high-value targets, dealing heavy single-target and burst damage.
Buff / Debuff Opener: Cast Abbathor's Lethal Assault (via Amarasta's Blade Burst) to gain a massive flat Cold/Frostburn damage buff that applies to all subsequent attacks.
Secondary Burst & Shred: Drop Ill Omen to apply damage reduction and spread Cold Resistance shred via the Morgoneth item skill modifiers. Follow immediately with Bone Harvest to proc Soul Harvest for additional flat damage and life leech.
Crowd Control & Defensive Utility: Cast Ring of Steel (with Ring of Frost and Circle of Slaughter) to freeze packs and force enemies to fumble their attacks. Activate Mark of Torment during heavy boss hits for high damage absorption.
Disengage / Reset: Use Evade or reposition out of dangerous ground effects while skills are on short cooldowns, then Shadow Strike back in to repeat the cycle.

Nightblade
Shadow Strike (Maxed): The core mobility and single-target nuke. Fully points into its node extensions (Nidalla's Justifiable Ends and Nightfall) to maximize burst damage, cooldown reduction, and wide AOE Cold/Vitality decay.
Amarasta's Blade Burst & Lethal Assault (1 Point / Maxed): Used primarily as a utility activator; Lethal Assault is maxed out to supply a huge flat Cold and Frostburn damage buff to the build.
Night's Chill (Maxed): Key passive modifier on Veil of Shadow that reduces nearby enemies' Cold and Pierce Resistances, essential for endgame damage scaling.
Ring of Steel (Utility Cluster): Takes single-point investments in Ring of Frost (converts damage to Cold and freezes enemies) and Circle of Slaughter (applies a massive fumble debuff to mitigate melee damage).
Phantasmal Armor (22 Points): Heavily invested in to synergize with the Morgoneth set's percent-armor scaling, providing a massive boost to base armor ratings.
Shadow Dance (16 Points): Delivers crucial Dodge and Avoid Projectiles chances, forming the core layer of the build's active mitigation.
Blade Spirit (1 Point): Serves as an automated tool to reliably trigger devotion effects (such as Hand of Ultos) without spending cast time.
