Purifier Fire Strike Endgame Build Guide
Last Updated: Aug 01, 2026 by RektByProtoss
About
The Fire Strike Stronghold Purifier (Demolitionist + Inquisitor) is a tanky, hardcore-viable ranged setup designed for Grim Dawn Patch 1.2. Built around the 3-piece Stronghold set (Revolver, Shield, and Belt) and supported by the 4-piece Shattered Realm (SR) set, this build bridges the gap between high ranged DPS and survival. Unlike standard glass-cannon dual-pistol or two-handed Purifiers, this configuration utilizes high armor, solid physical resistance, high block, and layered defensive skills to safely push higher-level Shattered Realm shards and super bosses in Hardcore mode.
Rotation & Playstyle
Buffs / Auras (Permanent): Keep Flame Touched, Vindictive Flame, and Aura of Censure toggled on at all times.
Core Combat Loop:
Inquisitor Seal: Cast Inquisitor Seal directly under your character for massive flat damage absorption and defensive buffs before engaging enemies.
Debuffs: Throw Thermite Mine near high-priority targets to shred Fire Resistance. Drop Flashbang to reduce enemy Offensive Ability and fumble their attacks.
Primary Offense: Hold down Fire Strike to shoot continuously. This triggers a heavy chain of Weapon Pool Skills (WPS) and Brimstone fragment explosions for massive single-target and AOE damage.
Active Defense / Mobility: Cast Word of Renewal as needed for direct healing, defensive boosts, and extra movement speed. Keep your character planted inside the Inquisitor Seal as much as possible, repositioning only when required.

We recommend putting your Devotion skills on the following:
Crab - Arcane Barrier
Magi - Thermite Mine
Witchblade - Korvaak's Brand
Phoenix - Fire Strike
Rhowan's Crown - Inquisitor Seal
Ulzuin's Torch - Flashbang
Between Lotus and Crab, you will need to use Quill and Owl for addition coloured orbs to move on to other constellations. These can be removed later.
