About

The Spiritborn "Quill Volley" build showcased in the video is a high-performance endgame setup designed for pushing high-tier Pits in Diablo 4. It leverages the Gorilla and Eagle Spirit Hall bonuses to balance immense defensive survivability with rapid-fire, screen-clearing damage. This build is centered around the Quill Volley core skill, which fires feathers in a cone that can shotgun enemies at close range.

By utilizing the Rod of Kepeleke, the build converts Quill Volley into a Basic Skill that consumes all remaining Vigor to guarantee Critical Strikes and massively increase damage. The primary goal is to maintain a "Vigor-neutral" or "Vigor-positive" state where you can spam this empowered version of the skill indefinitely while staying nearly invincible through the Resolve stack mechanic.

Gameplay Loop and Rotation

The core gameplay centers on stacking buffs/defenses and then aggressively spamming attacks to trigger the massive double-hit damage from Quill Volley and maintain resource generation via the Rod of Kepeleke and Ring of the Midnight Sun.

  1. High-Speed Attacks: The primary goal is to apply attacks As Fast as Possible to maximize the activation rate of the Rebounding Aspect and guarantee Critical Strikes (via Rod of Kepeleke).

  2. Cast Ravager: Use this skill first to gain Ferocity stacks (Attack Speed) and ensure resource generation.

  3. Activate Defenses (100% Block): Cast Armored Hide to gain 100% Block Chance.

  4. Activate Defenses (100% Dodge): Cast Counterattack to gain 100% Dodge Chance.

  5. Use Ultimate: Cast The Seeker on large packs of enemies/Elites for quick take downs.

  6. Spam Core Skill: Cast Quill Volley liberally between and after the previous utility skills.

  7. Leap through the map with Soar: Use Soar to become Unstoppable and leap through the map quickly.

Additional information

Notable Gear

The build relies heavily on specific Unique items and Aspects to function at a Tier 100+ Pit level.

  • Rod of Kepeleke (Unique Quarterstaff): The cornerstone of the build. It makes Quill Volley function as a Basic Skill, guarantees Crits at Max Vigor, and multiplies damage based on Vigor spent.

  • Harmony of Ebewaka (Unique Helm): Increases your damage for each different Spirit type assigned in the Spirit Hall (Jaguar and Gorilla in this case) and converts your skills to be treated as those Spirit types.

  • Tibault's Will: We have several triggers for Unstoppable which will help generate unlimited amounts of Vigor to support our spamming of Quill Volley.
